Textbooks to be distributed
     2011-September-21  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

新生缺课本问题即将解决

Several local private schools had not yet given students textbooks this semester.

Schools in Longgang and Bao'an districts said the new textbooks would arrive in two weeks.

"It was very inconvenient for students and not good for their studies. My son made a lot of mistakes in his homework due to not having textbooks," said Wang Decheng in Bao'an District.

The schools said the number of their students had increased sharply this semester, therefore not enough textbooks had been reserved.

"It was difficult for us to estimate the eventual number of students," said Li Hailun, principal of Guanqun Experimental School in Bao'an District.

The education department has already asked the textbook publishers to print more books to the school and they would arrive in Shenzhen next week.
