    Liz Taylor’s collection

Three top works from the late Hollywood star Elizabeth Taylor’s art collection have sold at a London auction* for nearly 14 million pounds (US$22 million), the auctioneer Christie’s said on Tuesday.

The lot’s biggest-selling item was Van Gogh’s “Vue de l’asile de la Chapelle de Remy,” which was sold for more than 10 million pounds to an anonymous telephone bidder.

    Ashton Kutcher’s plea

Ashton Kutcher turned 34 Tuesday, and he’s asking for fans’ help to make his birthday wish come true — to end child sex trafficking and exploitation.

The “Two and a Half Men” star — who’s currently going through a divorce from his wife of six years, Demi Moore — has set up a page on Causes.com to raise US$10,000 for the DNA Foundation, which is dedicated to fighting child exploitation.

    Superstars join ‘The Tomb’

It’s an action superstar reunion: Arnold Schwarzenegger is joining Sylvester Stallone for the thriller “The Tomb.”

The filmmakers announced last week that Schwarzenegger had signed on to star alongside Stallone in the prison-break* adventure.

    Adele wins 6 Grammys

Adele, 23-year-old British R&B-soul singer, was showered on Sunday night with six Grammy Awards for cathartic music she channeled out of her own pain and despair*.

Adele delivered the biggest album of 2011 with “21,” and scored the year’s biggest single, “Rolling in the Deep.” She won in all six categories in which she was nominated, including album, record and song of the year.(SD-Agencies)
