Scenic spots in Guilin
    2012-10-11  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

GUILIN, one of China’s most popular tourist destinations, lies in the northeast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Southwest China.

Since ancient times Guilin, which sits on the west bank of the Li River, has been said to have the most beautiful water and mountain scenery under heaven. Guilin owes its unique scenery largely to the karst landform shaped by years of geological process.

Walking in Guilin, which abounds in diversely shaped mountains, grotesque caves and stones surrounded by lucid water, is one of the most enchanting experiences China has to offer. (Zhao Jie)
