Teen suspected of hiring hitmen to kill dad, sister
     2013-May-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A HIGH school student in Henan Province who allegedly hired two hitmen to kill his father and elder sister because “they had given him too much pressure in study” is being held by police, dahe.cn reported yesterday.

Gao Tianfeng, a 49-year-old member of the judicial committee of the Intermediate People’s Court of Zhoukou City, and his 20-year-old daughter were found dead inside their home in Henan when neighbors raised the alarm at about 2 a.m. Sunday after hearing sounds of a break-in at the residence.

Police confirmed yesterday that surveillance cameras in the area showed two slim men climbing over a boundary wall to enter the home before the time of the murder, then retreating by the same route, according to the news portal.

Two of the three suspects who allegedly conspired in the crime were arrested, one of them being Gao’s teenaged son, a high school student in Luohe City, which is about 70 kilometers from Zhoukou.

Police said their interrogation of the boy revealed that he had hired two men he met online to kill his father and older sister, because “they had given him too much pressure in study.”

The sister had been sent by Gao to accompany his son to study at the school.

    Police are investigating.

It was the third incident in recent weeks involving school children in China under pressure to perform well in their studies. On May 3, reports emerged of two teenagers in Jiangsu Province who had committed suicide in two separate incidents after failing to complete homework assignments. (SD-Agencies)
