gǔhuījí
Meaning: "骨灰" means "ashes," and "级" is "level." Literally translated as "ashes-level," this term originated from a computer game by the name of "Diablo 2." There is an extra level in the game that is extremely challenging, and that level is called in Chinese "ashes-level." Therefore, those people who can pass the level are "ashes-level players." The term has been used in other aspects of life and gained a more general meaning similar to "highly skillful" and "very experienced."
Example:
Jīnnián mǎcì zhēn bù jiǎndān。
The Spurs have been very good this year.
Many of their players, like Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, are "ashes-level" basketballers.
Shénme shì gǔhuījí a?
What is "ashes-level?"
Jìushì jīngyàn duō、zīgé lǎo。Wǒ dú dàxué shí zhè jǐgè rén jìuzài mǎcì dǎqíu。
It means "very experienced and qualified." These guys played for the Spurs when I was back in university.
Nà nǐ yě suàn shì gǔhuījí qíumí le。
So you are one of those "ashes-level" basketball fans.
