A MAGNIFICENT view of 10 Buddhist scripture scrolls measuring 3,600 meters in total, written in xiaozhuan, the ancient Chinese character system adopted in the Qin Dynasty (221-206 B.C.), will be unfolded in Longgang District tomorrow.

The hard art piece was created by the 50-year-old He Guojian during the past four years, who is from Quanzhou in Fujian Province, a city renowned for Buddhist culture.

Besides the display of 10 scrolls, the exhibition also highlights traditional paintings of the Buddha by his daughter as well as inscriptions and introductions by renowned Chinese cultural celebrities.

He plans to finish 10,000-meter-long Buddhist scrolls by 2019, and says he will donate the scrolls to the government or a temple.

    Time: Until Dec. 28

Venue: Basketball Court of Universiade Sports Center, Longgang District

Metro: Longgang Line, Universiade Station (大运站), Exit A
