The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou to hold all-star chef event

    THE Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou will host “The Ritz-Carlton Chinese All-Star Chef Event” from April 24 to 28, during which a selection of the best Ritz-Carlton Chinese chefs celebrating the greatest Chinese culinary arts will be featured.

    Five culinary chefs from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen and Chengdu will showcase the finest culinary artistry through a series of activities, from a Michelin guest chef’s dinner to a gala dinner at the five-day dining event.

    “This five-day extravaganza will offer the guests another memorable feast with world-class culinary creations, wines and live entertainment,” said Andrew C. Rogers, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou. “We are proud and honored to have this opportunity to present these prominent culinary masters who are at the highest level of excellence joining us in Guangzhou, the birthplace of world-renowned Cantonese cuisines.”

    Michelin-starred chef Paul Lau Ping-lui, one of the top Cantonese chefs in Hong Kong and an expert in Chinese culinary arts with over 36 years of experience, chef Ku Chifai, executive Chinese chef of Yu with a passion for authentic Cantonese cuisine, chef Tam Kang-tong who is fluent in the entire breadth of Chinese cuisine and has a specialty in the “clay pot” method of preparation, chef Michael Liang, a famed Cantonese chef, and chef Luo Yuhui, the Chinese chef of the Xingli Chinese restaurant at the hotel, will all be joining the event.
