PEOPLE who visited an exhibition in Xiang Zifang, an intangible cultural heritage (ICH) industry base at the foot of Wutong Mountain in Luohu District, enjoyed a cultural feast Saturday, National Cultural Heritage Day. Themed “Enliven culture heritages,” the exhibition features an array of ICH projects including thangka, a traditional form of Tibetan painting on cotton or silk; Xiangyun gauze or gambiered Canton gauze, a traditional fabric dyeing technique in Guangdong Province; embroideries by people of the Miao minority; clay sculptures and much more. Visitors got hands-on experience in incense making and kite drawing, while cholars and experts discussed the development of ICH industry. (Zhang Yang) |
