THE Venice Hotel Shenzhen is certified gold from Earth Check, an international benchmarking and certification program for the travel and tourism industry for contributions to environmental protection.

    The hotel is the third hotel in China to certify as gold, and the first hotel in Guangdong Province.

    Earth Check is currently the only benchmarking and certification platform for the travel and tourism industry.

    Since opening, the hotel has focused on minimizing carbon emissions. To deliver on this commitment, the hotel has participated in Earth Hour since 2008.

    The hotel also supports the local community by purchasing local goods and using local contract service providers whenever possible.

    The hotel’s “Green Team” has worked together since 2008 to establish policies on sustainability, implement action plans and analyze results.
