Fans unite at cartoon and animation fair
    2014-07-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

ANIME, cartoon and fantasy fans united last week at the 6th annual Shenzhen Cartoon and Animation Fair, which was held July 16 through 20 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.

While most of the fair booths and visitors focused on anime-related cosplay and merchandise from companies such as One Piece, Date A Live and Black Butler, there were several other big name companies present. Transformers, with a huge art exhibition and shop, had one of the largest stalls. Blizzard also had a large presence, showing off the latest additions to their “Starcraft” and “World of Warcraft” franchises.

The fair continues to grow in size and number of visitors every year. “This year we have 200 exhibitors,” a fair representative said. “But that is twice as many as last year. We also have twice the floor space this year. Last year we had about 200,000 visitors. We are confident we will more than double that number this year.”(Amanda Roberts)
