    Card overdraft

    A MAN was detained for overdrafting 50,000 yuan (US$8,110) on his credit cards, which he applied for with an identification card that he picked up off the street.

    The man, surnamed Ye, served a one-year jail term for burglary 14 years ago. He was often questioned when staying in hotels or at Internet bars. Since 2011, he had been using the ID card he found for hotel registrations and even for work since July last year. Recently Ye applied for four credit cards with the ID card and overdrafted 50,000 yuan in two months.

    New gas pipelines

    ALL subdistricts in the city will be equipped with pipelines of liquefied natural gas (LNG) before the end of the year, Shenzhen Gas Group said Wednesday.

    According to the group, the number of household LNG users has reached 1.39 million in the city and keeps increasing by 100,000 a year.

    Moon cakes

    SHENZHEN International Airport reminded passengers not to board planes with moon cake packages that have knives inside them. According to China Aviation Administration rules, knives are not allowed to be carried on planes, Shenzhen’s airport said.
