I’ll Give You the Sun
     2014-September-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

This is a brilliant story of first love, family, loss, and betrayal* for fans of authors like John Green, David Levithan, and Rainbow Rowell.

Jude and her twin brother, Noah, are very close. At 13, Noah is drawn to the charming boy next door, while daredevil* Jude cliff-dives and wears red lipstick and does the talking for both of them. But three years later, Jude and Noah are barely speaking. Something has happened to wreck* the twins in different and dramatic ways ... until Jude meets a cocky*, broken, beautiful boy, as well as someone else—an even more unpredictable* new force in her life.

The early years are Noah’s story to tell. The later years are Jude’s. What the twins don’t realize is that they each have only half the story, and if they could just find their way back to one another, they’d have a chance to remake their world.

The book is told in alternating* points of view, jumping between Noah at 13 and his twin sister Jude at 16, until their two stories finally collide*.

Author Jandy Nelson, like Noah and Jude, comes from a superstitious* lot. Her first novel, “The Sky Is Everywhere,” was on several best books of the year lists, earned numerous starred reviews, and has been translated widely. A full-time writer, Nelson lives and writes in San Francisco, California.

The book is available in hardcover, audible book* and Kindle edition.(SD-Agencies)
