Victim forced to withdraw money from ATM
     2014-September-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

POLICE in Guangming New Area arrested two suspects of a criminal ring who beat up some pedestrians before pulling them into their car and forcing them to withdraw money from an ATM.

On Sept. 8, police received a report from a resident, surnamed Yang, who claimed to have been beaten up by eight people near a bus stop on Fengxi Road in Zhenmei, Gongming Subdistrict. They allegedly stole Yang’s iPhone and forced Yang into their car. They drove him to a bank and forced him to withdraw money from an ATM.

Police arrested two suspects near Zhenmei Market on Sept. 12 after an investigation.

The suspects confessed to their crimes and also provided information about two other accomplices.

The case is still under investigation.
