German beer and delicacies offered at The Show Kitchen
    2014-10-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE Show Kitchen at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen is celebrating Oktoberfest throughout the month of October with a wide selection of authentic German delicacies along with free flowing German beer.

“Oktoberfest is one of the greatest festivals in my home country, Germany, a time when families and friends come together and celebrate with great beer and great cuisine. This year, we are glad to bring the festival atmosphere to Grand Hyatt Shenzhen and celebrate together with our guests in The Show Kitchen,” said Martin Riehl, executive chef of the hotel.

Guests are able to indulge in an assortment of traditional sausages from various regions of Germany such as Thuringian sausages, which have been the pride of the state for hundreds of years, as well as Nürnberger sausages, pork-based bratwurst flavored with herbs.

Other selections include crispy-skinned pork trotters and juicy whole chicken served fresh from the oven, as well as traditional potato salad and soups. For desserts, guests can choose from traditional black forest cake, fresh baked apple strudel with vanilla sauce and other delicious sweets.

The free flowing German beer selections included in the promotion provide guests even more reasons to celebrate. Guests can enjoy the light golden color and the well-rounded malt taste of the lager beer produced by Hofbrau München, one of the last two traditional Munich breweries still in Bavarian ownership.

The promotion is available for both lunch and dinner until the end of October. The weekday lunch buffet is priced at 228 yuan (US$37.18) per person from Monday to Friday and 308 yuan per person from Saturday to Sunday.

The dinner buffet is priced at 368 yuan per person from Monday to Thursday and 418 yuan per person from Friday to Sunday.

All prices are subject to a 15-percent service charge. Children from 6-12 years of age will receive a 50-percent discount while those under 6 dine for free.
