Yan Toh Heen celebrates 30th anniversary

    YAN Toh Heen, one of the three Michelin restaurants at the InterContinental Hotel Hong Kong, is offering a special menu until Dec. 30 to celebrate the restaurant’s 30th anniversary.

    Designed by chef Lau Yaohui, the menu includes eight new cuisines made from high-quality and seasonal ingredients from around the world, including red lobsters from Spain, squabs and duck livers from France and cherry clams from the United States.

    The price for the meal is HK$1,984 per person. For an additional HK$800 per person, customers can enjoy exquisite wines such as a 2006 Moet & Chandon, Grand Vintage from France, a 2004 Riesling, Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Spatlese from Mosel Germany and a 2004 Chambolle Musigny from Bourgogne, France.

    The restaurant will hold a Dom Perignon Grand Vintage champagne dinner next Friday and a Martell Cognac dinner Nov. 13 as part of the celebration.

    A photo contest will also be held. Customers are encouraged to take pictures in the restaurant and share the photos on Instagram by labeling #YTH30 and @interconhk. Whoever gets the most “likes” on their photos will has a chance to win a deluxe sea-view suite room and a 30th anniversary special dinner at Yan Toh Heen for two people.

    Participants can follow the hotel’s account @interconhk on Instagram, upload any pictures they have taken in the restaurant over the last 30 years, label them with the code “#YTH30 @interconhk” and talk about why they are uploading the picture. Be sure to make your Instagram account open for public visits.

    The deadline for entry is Nov. 8. Winners will be announced Nov. 11 on the hotel’s official Instagram account and Facebook account: www.facebook.com/intercontinentalhk.(Zhang Yang)
