Cold front coming

    TEMPERATURES in the latter half of the week are expected to drop slightly due to a cold front coming from the north that is expected to arrive Tuesday.

    There will be occasional light rain and temperatures will range between 23 and 28 degrees Celsius between tomorrow and Friday, Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said.

    Housing violations

    SHENZHEN’S housing authorities have taken back 827 government-subsidized apartments that were illegally subleased by tenants this year.

    The apartments are intended for low-income families and are not allowed to be subleased.

    Python captured

    A 2-METER-LONG python that was found in a housing estate in Dapeng New Area last week has been released into the wild.

    The python, weighing about 5 kilograms, was found at the entrance to the Pengcheng housing estate Wednesday evening and was captured by police.

    The forestry administration in Dapeng released the python after thorough checks.
