THREE former officials with Shenzhen Customs have been detained for allegedly taking bribes, Shenzhen Municipal Government Information Office said on its official microblog yesterday.
Former deputy chief of Shenzhen Customs’ anti-smuggling department, Huang Zhouzhou, and section chiefs Zhen and Huang, have been detained for allegedly taking bribes. The corporations and employees that paid the bribes are also being probed, according to the blog post, which quotes sources from Shenzhen People’s Procuratorate.
The investigation into Huang Zhouzhou came on the heels of an online post April 8 that alleges one of Huang’s two mistresses injured the other in a dispute over him.
According to a post on the Southern Metropolis Daily’s website (www.oeeee.com), Huang met the two women, Yang and Tan, at a spa in Futian District. Both of them are masseuses.
Tan alleged in her post that Huang used a prepaid gift card each time he visited the spa. In January last year, he allegedly began living with her in a rented apartment in Shuiwei urban village.
In July last year, the two women switched workplaces, moving to Water Cubic, part of a large spa parlor near Futian Checkpoint.
As the story goes, Huang cut off contact with Tan, after which she discovered he was having an affair with Yang. This angered Tan, who attacked Yang with a knife, cutting her face.
Yang reported the incident to police.
In an effort to quell the conflict, Huang offered Tan 50,000 yuan (US$8,196). However, Tan refused and wrote a post explaining that she was “punishing Huang for playing with women.”
Tan further revealed that Huang is a married man and that he gave her 4,000 to 5,000 yuan each month during their relationship. In addition, Huang provided her with more than 10 prepaid shopping cards each valued at 1,000 yuan.
Tan added that Huang visited their rented apartment two to three times a month, each time having sex with her after a two-hour massage.
