SHENZHEN North Railway Station will operate 15 pairs of new high-speed trains after the new national train schedule takes effect Dec. 10, Shenzhen Railway Group Corp., the operator, said Tuesday.

Though the opening dates of the Guizhou-Guangzhou, Nanning-Guangzhou rails, and the section between Xinhuang and Changsha of the Shanghai-Kunming high-speed rail haven’t been decided yet, the operator has arranged 3 pairs of trains linking Guilin and Shenzhen, and one pair of trains linking Nanning and Shenzhen.

After the opening of the three high-speed rails, which is supposed to take place before the year’s end, the operators will have 96 pairs of trains on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen line and will add trains to Huaihua in Hunan Province and Hefei in Anhui Province.

The operator will have 69 pairs of regular trains, six pairs only on weekends and 21 pairs during rush hour. The Hangzhou-Shenzhen Line will add 22 pairs of trains between Shenzhen and Chaoshan, two pairs with Xiamen, one pair with Hangzhou and more, meaning there will be a total of 70 pairs of trains on the line.

D2292/1 between Shenzhen and Hangzhou will be halted.

Twenty pairs of trains will be put on the Guizhou-Guangzhou line, which will open Dec. 17, including three pairs between Shenzhen and Guilin, 10 pairs between Guangzhou and Guiyang and seven pairs between Guangzhou and Guilin. The trip between Guangzhou and Guizhou will take about five hours.

There won’t be direct trains from Shenzhen to Nanning and Guizhou. Passengers to Nanning and Guizhou need to change trains at Guangzhou South Railway Station. The operator said it would operate direct trains between Shenzhen and Nanning during the 2015 Spring Festival.

The operator will arrange 18 pairs of trains when the Nanning-Guangzhou line opens. They include 12 pairs between Guangzhou and Nanning, two pairs with Liuzhou and four with Beihai. The trip to Nanning will be cut to four hours. Currently the trip between Guangzhou and Nanning takes about 15 hours by train.

According to the new schedule, T108 from Shenzhen to Beijing will be upgraded and renamed Z108. The trip will be cut by one hour and 50 minutes. T186 from Shenzhen to Shenyang, T106 to Shanghai, and K1040 to Zhengzhou will be upgraded and renamed into Z186, Z116 and Z148, respectively. The trip to Zhengzhou will be cut by five hours and 28 minutes. K1688 to Qingdao will be upgraded and renamed T398 and the trip will be cut by seven hours and 23 minutes.
