Balinese Gourmet Festival presented by guest chefs
    2015-01-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SAVOR the intriguing flavors of Bali at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen’s Balinese Gourmet Festival. From now until Jan. 25, three guest chefs from Grand Hyatt Bali are presenting an astounding variety of authentic Balinese cuisine.

Gado gado is a traditional appetizer with mixed vegetables from Indonesia that includes beans, cucumber and shrimp crackers topped with the hotel’s guest chefs’ unique peanut sauce, a special Balinese recipe. The distinctive and rich flavors echo with garden freshness.

Another must-try dish is satay prepared from marinated beef, chicken and mixed seafood. After being barbecued, this classic Balinese dish is finished with a layer of aromatic satay sauce.

Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in a fantastic array of Balinese desserts, including young coconut pudding, black rice pudding with coconut milk, boiled bananas with palm sugar, crepes with coconut filling, jackfruit and coconut cream and tropical fruit, all of which will soak the taste buds in delicate and fragrant flavors.

Price: Lunch buffet — 248 yuan/person from Monday to Friday; 328 yuan/person from Saturday to Sunday; Dinner buffet — 368 yuan/person from Monday to Thursday; 418/person from Friday to Sunday. Children ages 6 to 12 years enjoy a 50 percent discount while those under 6 years dine free. All prices are subject to a 15 percent service charge.
