Italian tailor in town
     2015-March-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

ERNESTO TINO GIROMBELLI, an Italian tailor and the top designer of Shenzhen-based clothing company VERSINO, came to Shenzhen with his team Sunday.

Shenzhen residents can now experience for themselves the professional attitude and standards of tailor-made Italian suits, yesterday’s Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

Girombelli is the fourth generation of an Italian private tailor family. He has served royal families in Europe and celebrities across the world over the years, the Daily reported. He used to work for the family of former U.S. President George W. Bush for 11 years.

Girombelli told the local paper that it takes about two to three months to make a tailor-made suit. To ensure quality, all suits are shipped by air to Girombelli’s workshop in Italy for inspections.

An official with VERSINO, who declined to be named, said they receive dozens of orders for tailor-made clothing every year and the trend is on the rise. More young people, mostly those in business, are placing orders, the official said.
