A visit to city’s funeral parlor
    2015-04-02  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Sunday was open house for residents to the visit Shenzhen Funeral Parlor this year. Visitors were encouraged to learn about the services it offered for the recently deceased.

Since 2012, the city’s funeral parlor in Longgang District has provided five free services and a charity fund to ensure bereaved families can afford basic services.

Each year, the funeral parlor receives about 14,000 bodies, but about 600 bodies lay unclaimed in special refrigerators.

The funeral parlor also stores cremation urns and provides outdoor space for families and friends to commemorate their loved ones. (Tan Yifan)
