APART from a buffet worth 298 yuan (US$48) for an adult and 178 yuan for a child, the 5A-level tourist attraction also has many fun activities that will be free.

    The buffet features delicacies from the United States, Mexico, South Korea, Japan and several Southeast Asian countries.

    Visitors can also explore a 1.7-kilometer trail at the resort, which is located about 23 kilometers from Shenzhen’s Meilin Checkpoint.

    Tucked between two mountains, the Mission Hills Dongguan Eco-Forest Trail is made up of dirt paths across varying terrains and is perfect for a one-hour hike. Signs along the way explain the local ecology, including various interesting fauna and flora. Hikers can enjoy views of the green landscape from viewing decks at two locations across the hilltop.

    Dessert lovers can enjoy a cooking lesson from the resort’s chefs who are masters in making low-calorie cakes.

    Visitors also have free access to a statue of Guanyin, said to be the largest Avalokitesvara statue made of white marble in China, a mini-golf course, a 3-D art gallery and a water garden.
