Tips to make you happier and more productite
    2015-05-22  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

CHANCES are, you’ve heard of Tim Ferriss. He’s a stand-out entrepreneur, author, consultant, athlete, bio-hacker and life-hacker.

He’s also got a new TV show, “The Tim Ferriss Experiment,” where he tries to become as good as possible at a certain skill he has no prior experience with — all in five days. The underlying message of the show is that we are actually capable of doing so much more than we think when we put our minds to it and have the right teachers.

He has some useful tips on how he stays sane in the midst of all the hard work.

If you work 24/7, or just feel like you get so invested in it that you forget to take time for yourself, try setting an alarm on your phone or calendar to implement at least one of these practices every day and see what happens:

    1. Get outside and go barefoot in the grass. You only need to do it for a few minutes. It will improve your mental state and help you feel grounded, and will actually help you feel less like a robot while answering emails.

    2. Take your calls on a walk. Group together any phone calls that don’t need a visual aid and walk while you take them. It will get you away from your desk but keep you productive.

    3. Take one minute to consciously let go of things that don’t serve you. If someone didn’t respond to a call or email and you feel slighted, or someone cuts you off in rush hour, let it go. Try to remember that it wasn’t a personal attack — and you’ll feel better immediately.

It’s easy to get wrapped up in the things immediately surrounding you. If you can do one of these things every day, you will likely see an increase in your positivity and productivity. (SD-Agencies)
