    Vocalist Sam Smith made an impressive debut on Disclosure’s 2012 single “Latch,” Smith’s impeccable vocals carrying a potent forcefulness and yearning. On his official first single as a solo artist, “Lay Me Down,” Smith teamed up with Disclosure again; although the song’s vibe isn’t as upbeat as the last time the artists teamed up, the production is light and highlights, rather than overshadows, Smith’s powerful voice.
