ON June 11, a group of visually impaired engineers gathered at Fulian Building in Futian District to celebrate the newly opened information accessibility space, a place where disabled people can learn about and experience unique ways of using the Internet and cellphones. The space was initiated by Shenzhen Information Accessibility Research Association, which was founded by Liang Zhengyu, a ’90s-genenation charity worker. Liang and his engineers, who work to improve online information accessibility systems, showed visitors how disabled people can access various sources of information.(Tan Yifan) |
