Hospital security guards attack man over parking
     2015-July-3  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A MAN was beaten by security guards outside the inpatient department of Shenzhen People’s Hospital for parking his car in a forbidden place Wednesday.

The man, Song Wangqun, recorded the incident and provided police with the video which includes the security guards threatening to kill him.

After parking his car, Song asked a security guard if he had parked in the proper location. A security guard approached and kicked Song’s car, leaving a dent in the driver side door.

When Song attempted to take a photo of the damage, the security guard used a walkie-talkie to call his manager and other security guards.

The group of guards kicked Song and attempted to pull him into their office. They also put their hands around his neck and pushed him onto the ground.

Song suffered scratches around his neck and on his back.

An official with the hospital, who refused to be named, said they hire the security guards through a security company, so it’s up to the security company to decide what to do with the security guards who attacked Song.

“I really hope this media attention puts some pressure on them,” said the official.

The official said that many guards come from villages, have very little education and are not very good employees.

The Cuizhu Police Station is investigating the case.

Song works as a reporter and was going to the hospital to conduct an interview.
