THE 7th Shenzhen Cartoon and Animation Fair kicked off at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on Thursday. The five-day event attracted many domestic animation production studios and companies who showcased their characters at the fair. Ten cartoon characters will be shortlisted for the “Cartoon of the Year” competition. Some computer games were also highlighted at this year’s fair. Many local students, who are enjoying their summer holiday, were thrilled to dress up as their favorite cartoon and anime characters for the cosplay section, which is presenting world-renowned cosers such as Kilroy from the United States at the fair.(Sun Yuchen)
