Taste of Hangzhou returns to 1881
    2015-07-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE award-winning cuisine of 28 Hubin Road, recognized as one of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, will be featured at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen’s 1881. From July 17 to 31, diners can savor the exquisite dishes of Hangzhou cuisine prepared by a team of guest chefs from this renowned restaurant.

Hangzhou cuisine (Hangbang cai) is one of the eight famous regional cuisines of China. Its dishes are noted for their sophisticated presentation, varied ingredients and fresh flavors. Time-honored signature dishes that will be featured during the promotion at 1881 include Dongpo pork, braised thin slices of pork belly layered into a pyramid, enveloping a filling of bamboo shoots and served with chestnut pancakes; wok-fried traditional-style Longjing shrimp, a natural combination of sweet hand-shelled freshwater shrimp nuanced with the lingering fragrance of Hangzhou’s famous dragon well green tea leaves; and Song Sao fish soup, a smooth and velvety soup with a history of over 800 years.

28 Hubin Road is part of the five-star Hyatt Regency Hangzhou. Renowned as one of the top restaurants in Hangzhou, it has received numerous prestigious dining accolades, such as China’s Top 50 Restaurants by Food and Wine Magazine, Top Ten Restaurants by Business Traveler Magazine 2012 and Asia’s Top 50 Restaurants for three consecutive years.
