Full of fantasy: ‘Alice in Wonderland’
    2015-09-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

If you fell into a hole and faced many difficulties, what would you do? Lewis Carroll wrote “Alice in Wonderland (《爱丽丝梦游仙境》).” The book is about a brave girl who experienced interesting and incredible adventures. As a faithful reader of this novel, I am going to tell you about it.

“Alice in Wonderland” is full of so many fantasies. It is considered a classic book.

One sunny afternoon, a bored young girl named Alice woke up suddenly from a nap and saw a white rabbit quickly running by carrying a pocket watch and worrying about being late. She followed the rabbit to a rabbit hole and ended up in a strange land where she encountered many species of wildlife. Sometimes she shrank and sometimes she grew after eating the food there.

To me, the story has lots of deep connotations related to real life. What makes me confused is one character called the blue caterpillar, a gentle old guy who always smokes a bong. Why? Does it stand for a special group of people in reality? I think Carroll was taunting people like the caterpillar who don’t do anything useful all day. The Cheshire Cat might represent a positive spirit. Do you agree with me?

Descartes, a well-known mathematician, once said, “I think, therefore I am.” In favor of this opinion, I believe an extraordinary imagination is in great demand for us students, so this story is a piece of great work that is worth reading.
