Wuxia-themed hotpot restaurant
    2015-10-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FANS of wuxia fiction must try this: A new restaurant offering Sichuan-style hotpot recently opened in Bao’an District featuring traditional Chinese decor reminiscent of the meeting place of martial art masters from Gu Long’s novels.

Calling itself Tangmen Hotpot, the restaurant claims to be the only restaurant that serves a special kind of lily mushroom transported by air from Sichuan. Sitting by carved wooden screens under a lantern and surrounded by bamboo, diners can also try exotic foods such as tripe, fish skin and pig brain. A more conventional choice is sliced beef. The restaurant also serves a snack made of glutinous rice powder, which is fried and then eaten with brown sugar and bean powder seasoning.

Although Tangmen, run by the Tang family in Sichuan, is famous for its poisons and hidden weapons, the restaurant offers only delicious food that is healthy and all-natural.

    Add: 1/F, Shahe Building, 135 Baomin Road 2, Bao’an District (宝安区宝民二路135号沙河大厦一楼)
