A trip to Palau
    2016-01-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

“Where are we going this summer?” I asked my mom.

“There is a small, beautiful country called Palau. It has hundreds of islands and it’s celebrated for its seawater and its tropical fish. Do you want to go there?” she asked.

“That’s good enough!” I replied happily.

I was so excited! Even though it was two o’clock in the morning when we arrived, I couldn’t help taking photos of our hotel and our room. Although it was dark, I could hear the waves and feel the smell of the sea!

The next morning, I went swimming in the sea. The water was warm, comfortable and colorful. I’ve seen blue water before but never this crystal clear!

It was fantastic to see the fish swimming around me. Sometimes they even bit me! It felt strange, but I enjoyed it. We also went to see sharks. They were really close to us! For a moment, I thought they were going to attack us! Luckily, we were not hurt. Our guide said the sharks liked us a lot, and they probably were not hungry.

I had a wonderful time there. The fresh air was invigorating. I ate a lot of incredibly delicious seafood and visited a lake full of jellyfish!

I will never forget the days in Palau. I experienced many interesting things that I could never have imagined. I was deeply moved by its natural environment.

Palau will always remain a beautiful place in my heart.
