Last week, some Class 12, Senior 2 students performed a historical play called “The Sailing Dream of Columbus” in history class. The aim was to help the students comprehend the exploration of Columbus’s new sea route and leave them a deep impression. The historical play was performed by six actors who played Columbus, Queen Elizabeth, a minister, a sailor and two guards. The show was very attractive with vivid acting. The actors interpreted the difficult trip and the characters’ feelings very well. To make the play more interesting, they used funny lines and fantastic props that were so impressive we won’t soon forget them. At the same time, the students also learned a lot about the purpose of the trip, how the new sea route changed the world and the spirit of adventure. At the end of the lesson, our history teacher said that it was a very successful show. She would like to organize more historical plays in the future to help students learn about history. |
