Fight for your dreams
    2016-04-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

It goes without saying that we cannot stay young forever. Time waits for no one. Once it flows away, it will never come to us again. We can’t take charge of our time, but we should know the importance of time and cherish it. Yesterday is history. There is nothing we can do to save it. So the only thing we can do is cherish what we have today and fight for tomorrow. We should fight against time and strive for our dreams.

I have a dream, just like everyone else. We should dream. We should dream freely and completely. My dream is to become an Olympic swimming champion. Therefore, I keep on swimming, not only to become better but also because I enjoy it. I strive to become a swimming champion and work every day toward my goal.

Last November, I became a national second-class athlete in swimming. When I got the news, I was thrilled because I stepped even closer to my dream. Since then, I have been training harder and have become even more focused than before. A saying goes, “Dreams don’t abandon a painstaking pursuit of the people, as long as you never stop pursuing, you will bathe in the brilliance of the dream.” I like this quote very much; in fact, it has become my motto. It often motivates me. Remember to not let your dreams just be dreams.
