Futian moves to boost growth of services sector
    2016-04-08  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

COMPANIES seeking to launch initial public offerings in overseas markets can get one-stop legal, audit, evaluation and consulting services in Futian in the near future as the district government moves to lure more services companies to the district.

During the 13th Five-Year period (2016-2020), the Futian district government plans to bring in more law, accounting and design companies to provide more professional services to help drive the growth of companies based in the district.

The district government will introduce various incentives to encourage professional services providers to settle in the district, Shenzhen Economic Daily quoted a work report by the district government as saying March 10, without giving details to what the incentives are.

A number of high-end professional services providers, such as Yingke Law Firm, have chosen to locate their offices in Futian this year.

The law firm, ranked as one of 10 fastest-growing law firms in China for five successive years, has set up its regional headquarters in Futian’s central business area. Known as one of the largest law firms in the Asia-Pacific region, Yingke was ranked by The Lawyer magazine in Britain as one of the top 150 law firms in the Asia-Pacific region last year.

Currently, there are 241 law firms in Futian, accounting for 43.7 percent of law firms based in Shenzhen. Meanwhile, 45.1 percent of the city’s engineering cost consulting firms, 54.1 percent of patent agencies and 56 percent of accounting firms are based in Futian. (Zhang Yang)
