A letter to my mom

    Dear Mom,

How are you doing? Time flies. I have already been at the U.S. camp almost one week. I miss you so much!

I want to tell you thank you for letting me come to this camp in the United States. It is so fun. I’ve had a really great experience so far.

To be honest with you, I was nervous and a little scared on the first day. I wondered whether I could stay here for two weeks with the American kids. But to my surprise, the kids here are so kind to others, and I made two good friends already. Their names are Tommy and Crocodile. We study and play together, even eat and sleep at the same time.

There are many kinds of animals in the camp. We have our own zoo. My favorite animal is a cute dog named Jama. She is very funny and she never bites people. Another one of my favorites is a cat named Buster. He is old but still fun to play with. I took pictures with the animals while I was feeding them. It was amazing!

There are also good classes like zip lining and swimming. My favorite classes are definitely the crossfire class and archery class. They are all very exciting classes. I learned how to focus and practice safety.

I have a good teacher who taught me many facts. His name is Tyler. He is in his 20s and he always encourages us to do our best with a big smile. I really like him.

I want to say, “Thank you very much, Mom, for giving me this great opportunity to come to this fun camp. I am very grateful for everything you do for me. Thanks again!”

I love you and miss you.

    Love,

    Tim
