A Singapore-based startup has designed a system that relieves tension from hours of sitting and slouching without taking time from your busy schedule. Dubbed AiraWear, this detachable vest has six inflatable air pillows stitched inside to relieve aches, all of which are hidden under a lightweight hoodie and controlled via a smartphone. The air-powered massage* modules deliver a massage that can go anywhere with you and is much cheaper than a massage chair. AiraWear, designed by Tware, made its debut earlier this year in Las Vegas. “AiraWear works by using specially designed air pillows to apply pressure on your back, which produces an acupressure and kneading sensation,” reads AiraWear’s campaign. “Our smartphone app, connected via Bluetooth, has various massage programs to relieve the muscle tensions affecting different muscle groups on the back.” It is equivalent to a normal winter jacket in weight and size and is splash proof. The zip-up sweatshirt is made of cotton and polyester. The system charges just like a smartphone, lasts for three hours and is fully charged in two hours by lithium* batteries. (SD-Agencies) |
