Ritz-Carlton gets new food director
    2016-06-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

RAVI KUMAR has been appointed director of food and beverage of The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen. This is Kumar’s second time in Shenzhen. In his new position, he will manage the business operations of the hotel’s award-winning restaurants and lead the strong food and beverage team to the next level, as well as drive engagement among the dedicated hotel associates while ensuring the continuous creation of memorable experiences for all guests.

An Indian national, Kumar most recently served as the assistant director of food and beverage at The Ritz-Carlton in Sanya. In his almost decade of working with luxury hotels in China, Kumar was recognized as Asia Pacific Restaurateur of the Year within The Ritz-Carlton Group at the Sabre Awards in 2012 for his outstanding performance in leading the Sanya team. In addition, the hotel also held a widely praised Michelin chef event, “Nothing Ordinary,” which established its reputation for excellent cuisine and innovation.

“I am delighted to make a return to prosperous Shenzhen and witness the entry of new industries that keep the city dynamic and attractive to entrepreneurs. Shenzhen is a very exciting, interesting and diverse city where the food and beverage market continues to grow rapidly,” Kumar said.(SD News)
