Murderer on the run
POLICE in North China’s Liaoning Province are offering a reward of 100,000 yuan (US$15,200) for clues leading to the capture of a man suspected of murdering six family members.
Wang Haijun, 48, a native of Haicheng, Anshan City, is thought to be on the run after killing six over a family dispute Tuesday, according to police in Anshan.
3 students killed
THREE students have died and another was wounded after a wall at a middle school collapsed in North China’s Hebei Province, local authorities said Thursday.
The accident happened in Gaocheng District, Shijiazhuang, Hebei’s capital, Wednesday afternoon, just after grade nine students of No. 7 Middle School finished their exam and were leaving the school.
Fugitive turns self in
A SUSPECT accused of economic crimes who has been on the run for more than seven years has surrendered herself to police, local authorities said Thursday.
Tang Dongmei, 57, was an accountant with the Arts and Crafts Import and Export Co. Ltd. in East China’s Fujian Province. She was suspected of embezzlement, and fled to Australia in December, 2008.
