Langham welcomes you to Venice
    2016-08-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

LANGHAM Place, Guangzhou takes gourmet indulgence to a whole new level with its newly upgraded semi-outdoor Italian restaurant, Alfresco. The restaurant’s expansive open kitchen adds a dash of drama to the dining experience, while executive sous-chef Andrea Donazzan from Venice elevates the art of Italian cuisine by serving a sumptuous collection of authentic regional favorites and sophisticated chef specialties.

Spectacularly decorated in an Italian style with a dominating crimson hue, the refurbished Alfresco, offers a laid-back vibe, with its unobstructed view of the chefs showcasing their culinary prowess. Nothing beats the joy of bathing under the abundant natural light that shines through the huge glass wall tilting south of the restaurant, while offering a bird’s-eye view of the tranquil and pastoral panorama of Huangpuyong and the Pazhou. With its inviting semi-outdoor setting and relaxed elegance, this restaurant is just the place where diners can have the most relaxing and carefree dining experience possible. With 15 years of culinary experience, Chef Donazzan and his team offer a fresh-taste on the well-chosen lineup of classic Venetian dishes that Alfresco will be serving.

Carpaccio Di Manzo Alla Cipriani (Beef tenderloin, venetian sauce) is representative of traditional Italian cuisine. Using only the premium, central part of the beef tenderloin, the chef seasons the carpaccio with extra virgin olive oil, Maldon salt and a classic Venetian sauce. The fresh greens on top perfectly add a cut of spring-flavor to the dish.

The Zuppa Di Zucca, Capesanta Grigliata E Tartufo Nero Di Norcia (pumpkin, cream, norcia black truffle, scallop, basil oil) demonstrates the chef’s penchant for details. The roasted pumpkin cubes with pan-fried scallops give the dish a rich flavor. Caramelized pumpkin seeds and Norcia black truffle create additional layers of flavors and complexity.

Homemade pasta is a staple food of traditional Italian cuisine. Ravioli Ricotta E Spinaci (homemade ravioli, spinach, ricotta, sage, sautéed mushrooms, wild herbs) distinguishes itself from other pasta dishes with a nice dash of nutmeg and cinnamon. The sauce made from fresh herbs balances the flavor profile of this ravioli dish by giving it just a touch of zest.

“Alfresco provides diners with wine perfectly paired and catered to their meals and attentive service. Whether you are thinking of a leisurely get-together with close friends while watching the sun going down, or looking for a private escape for two while tasting wine at nightfall, Alfresco is dedicated to delivering engaging experiences where people can relax and connect.” Said by Mr. Ricky Lam, the Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage Department.

Alfresco is open daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.(SD News)
