深圳国际交流学院主办的第六届商务实践大赛开始报名 Grace Chen This autumn, the Sixth Business Practices Competition, which is organized by the Business Practice Club (BPC) of Shenzhen College of International Education (SCIE), is again opening its doors nationwide. The preliminary contest will be available online and the quarterfinals will be held in Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai and Changsha on October 23, 2016. The finals will be at the SCIE after the winter vacation. This year’s competition plans to develop innovative business practices and to provide a platform for high school students to improve their business acumen and offer them an opportunity to show off their strengths. According to David Dong, a member of the BPC, high school students in the 21st century are not to be underestimated. They are curious about knowledge, have broad social means and adapt to new things quickly. Moreover, with the rapid development of the market economy in China, more and more students now regard getting involved in the business world as their first choice. “Under these circumstances, a challenging and authoritative business competition will undoubtedly serve not only as platform for students to gain valuable expertise and practical capabilities, but also will serve to deeply influence their future careers,” Dong said. This year, new competition zones have been developed. Besides Shenzhen and Shanghai, Beijing and Changsha will join the list. Such an expansion will offer contestants from all over the country more opportunities to enlarge their social circle by making new friends. Much more than that, a new competition system will be introduced this year. There are authentic certificates issued by ASDAN and chances to win iPads and iPods as prizes. A variety of activities such as a ball and other activities will also be prepared for the contestants. The BPC, which was established in 2011, has been focusing on organizing the best business practices contest in China. As the largest and oldest business club in the SCIE, the BPC has successfully hosted business practices competitions for five consecutive years since 2011. In 2013 and 2016, the club was named by the Chinese Financial Association as “one of the top 10 teenager financial associations in China” and “the most influential club in China.” |
