深圳国际公益学院在前海举办第一期公益大讲堂 Bai Ruojing bairj@pkusz.edu.cn China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI) held the first philanthropy seminar series open to the general public at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub on the evening of September 23. The CGPI was established in November 2015 and held its first opening ceremony for the spring term in Shenzhen this May. In addition to the office located in central Shenzhen, CGPI also runs an institute in Beijing. The lecture was given by Wang Zhenyao, the dean of CGPI. In his talk, Wang shared with more than 100 audience members his vision of philanthropy rising as a new industry in China. He introduced the new charity law which was issued this March and believes that the further development of philanthropy will nurture a healthy economy that will help people live a better life.Wang also recommended a biography written by Cao Dewang, a famous philanthropist and an influential entrepreneur. CGPI currently offers two programs: Global Philanthropy Leaders Program (GPL) and Executive Management of Philanthropy (EMP) Program. |
