Guns N’ Roses to perform in Singapore for first time
    2016-10-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Guns N’ Roses will be performing in Singapore next year as part of their ongoing Not In This Lifetime global tour, according to a source with knowledge of the event.

The source told Channel NewsAsia that the legendary hard rock band will perform at Changi Exhibition Center on February 25.

This will be the first time the iconic band will be performing in Singapore. Guitarist Slash performed here as a solo act in 2011’s Big Day Out and 2010’s Singfest.

Concert organizers LAMC Productions announced yesterday that tickets will be priced from S$199 (US$144) to S$298, with VIP tickets on offer for S$568. Tickets will be available to the general public on October 17 at 10 a.m. after a priority sale for OCBC credit card holders which begins on October 14.

The Not In This Lifetime tour features key members of the classic Guns N’ Roses lineup: lead singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. While some have expressed disappointment that original members Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler have not come on board to make this a full reunion, concert reviews have been positive.

Guns N Roses have been back on the road since the first half of this year, playing sell-out arenas* across North and South America. According to the tour roster on the band’s official website, the band will be performing in Japan in January, followed by dates in Australia and New Zealand in February.

Channel NewsAsia understands that Singapore is the only Southeast Asian stop to have been scheduled so far.

Guns N’ Roses shot to stardom* with their breakthrough hit “Sweet Child O’ Mine” from their 1987 studio album “Appetite for Destruction.” (SD-Agencies)
