On January 18, the 19th Campus Art Festival and the New Year Gala were held in the school gymnasium of our high school.

    All of the students and teachers present enjoyed the performances. The whole gala, which consisted of singing, modern dance, music and classical drama, was on show in various popular forms. Class 16’s chorus “Sky City” was the performance which brought the atmosphere into the first climax.

    Then, a hot dance from Senior 1 and the double piano performance gave us big surprises. What’s more, a 10-piece singing and dancing group called “Stunner” won the audience’s rounds of applause, pushing the gala into a second climax.

    The highlight of the gala was the classical drama called “Thunderstorm” from Class 11, Senior 2. I was so proud to be a part of this class. I knew how tired they had been backstage. Every action we saw might have been practiced many times. No pain, no gain.

    Finally, the electronic band sang a song called “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” which brought the party into a third climax, with many in the audience waving their colorful fluorescent glow-sticks excitedly, and the gym had a crazy and exciting atmosphere. The gala came to an end with a group of girls dancing at a professional level.

    Under the guidance of the school leaders, this gala was organized by our school’s music teachers and other relevant departments.

    The theme was “Start Our Dreams to Show Our Youth.” It fully demonstrated the characteristics of our school’s art education and the youth personality of our students. The leaders who had watched the show sang high praise for it.
