This summer holiday, I traveled to Russia. It was an exciting trip because this was my first trip abroad. Russia is an attractive country.

    My mother and I went with a tour group. As it is known to all, it was really tiring but it was worthwhile. We flew to Moscow and Saint Petersburg and traveled for eight days.

    I thought the most beautiful place was Ekaterina Plaza, which was decorated with gold and amber and I enjoyed it very much. It shows that Russia was strong at that time. Also, Russia has a lot of good places. There are other similar buildings and palaces.

    I can see that Russians there look unconcerned, but they are warm-hearted from their singing and dancing. They are ready to help others. They are kind. They obey rules so strictly that even we think they are “not flexible” I have to say that most of the girls are beautiful and the boys are cool.

    Everything was nice to us Chinese except the food. The main foods were bread, soup, salad, and so on. At a restaurant, first, they served us some bread that was so hard, but it was acceptable to me because I like bread. Then, they gave me a little salad. After that, they gave me some soup that contained noodles and vegetables. At last, we could choose what we liked.

    An unforgettable experience happened when I was in a small fishing village restaurant. I bought a coke. The shop assistant gave me 500 rubles more than he should give me. I felt that it was wrong for me to keep it. When I had lunch, I couldn’t eat because I felt guilty.

    Then I decided to give the money back to the assistant. As I couldn’t speak Russian, and the tour guide didn’t help me, it took me a long time to use my mobile phone to translate Chinese into Russian.

    When I told it to the assistants with the help of my mobile phone, he didn’t quite understand. Then I gave the money to him and left. Only after that did I feel relaxed and comfortable and finished my lunch quickly.

    In conclusion, I enjoyed the trip because of the Russian buildings, art and the people. As an art student, I have learned a lot of art skills as well as improved my sense of beauty.
