Brain monitoring smart glasses can keep wearer calm
    2017-01-04  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    霞飞诺公司研发智能眼镜

Google Glass failed to captivate consumers with its cyborg*-like device, but now an Italian firm believes they have a winning design — a pair that looks like traditional glasses.

Made by Safilo, these smart glasses do not have a camera, but measure brainwaves to asses the wearer’s mood in order to help them relax and meditate.

The device is equipped with five sensors behind the ears and on the bridge of the nose that collect data, which is sent to an accompanied app to be analyzed.

Safilo, the firm that makes frames for Dior, Fendi and Hugo Boss eyewear, has partnered with Canada’s IneraXon for this new endeavor.

The Italian firm is set to debut the smart glasses, which have not yet been named, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month.
