My favorite character
    2017-01-11  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

My favorite books are the series of “Graver Robbers’ Chronicle” and my favorite character is Zhang Qiling.

He is a mysterious man. He always faces troubles calmly and never feels disappointed. He is attractive but lonely, and he acts like he is from another world. He has a huge mission, and always feels so tired and sad. Although he doesn’t share his tiredness and pain with others, I can still feel these emotions easily from his writing. There are hundreds of mountains and rivers to be climbed and walked across between us.

Though we are far away from each other, he is my hero in my mind forever. For me, he is not only a character, but also my hero. When I have difficulty in doing something, he seems to tell me not to give up. When I become sad, he never leaves me.

The most moving moments in the books are the difficulties he meets. I still remember that once he couldn’t communicate with anyone. What a tragedy! I always cry for him.

Luckily, Wu Xie and Zhang are great partners. Zhang would even give up his life to keep Wu safe. I remember when Zhang was dying, he said unexpectedly, “Wu Xie, fortunately, I didn’t incriminate you.” Zhang had an unlucky life. He had to protect an important secret behind the Bronze Door on Changbai Mountain for 10 years.
