I’m Peter. I’m going to be a middle school student. In my free time I like watching movies. When I was in primary school, an American movie called “Unbroken” impressed me deeply. It is an American war film set in World War II that tells the story of Louis Zamperini who is of Italian descent. Zamperini is an Olympic runner who served time in a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp. When Zamperini was young, he was a bad boy. He stole, smoked and drank. His brother realized this and helped Zamperini stop his bad habits. Instead of getting into fights, Zamperini started putting his energy into running until one day he won a gold medal. After that, he joined the army. While he was fighting in World War II, a Japanese plane shot down Zamperini’s plane. The plane fell into the ocean and Zamperini and his copilots floated in the ocean for 47 days. The Japanese army found him and put him into a POW camp, where Japanese officers tortured him. The prisoners in the POW camp waited to be released. Finally, the war ended, and Japan surrendered. Zamperini was released and returned home to America. When he returned he kissed the American soil and hugged his family tightly. “Unbroken” is a powerful film that will touch the hearts of many. The film teaches us to be strong and patient and to never give up. |
