Bai Ruojing bairj@pkusz.edu.cn Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School (PKU Shenzhen) held the registration day for 34 new international exchange students on February 16. Thirty-two of the students will be doing a one-term exchange program at Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) and two will be studying at Peking University School of Transnational Law. Jan Bruetzel was an exchange student from the Faculty of Business & Economics, Leuphana University of Luneburg in Germany. He came to study at the Master of Management program of PHBS. “I first came to China in 2008, just before the Beijing Olympics,” Bruetzel shared with us, “it was a study trip organized by my high school. We went to Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.” Bruetzel read about the exchange programs offered by Leuphana’s partners and was particularly attracted by the positive comments, which mentioned the study trips to companies and factories in Shenzhen and Guangdong Province. Bruetzel wanted to deepen his understanding of management and learn about Chinese culture, so he made up his mind that he would come to China again before graduation. On February 17, PKU Shenzhen conducted a campus tour and information session for the new students. The school formally started on February 20. |
