The Independent Preparatory Academy (IPA) launched, on April 17, a sponsorship program to support foreign middle and high school students aged 11-18, who are currently being homeschooled in Shenzhen, due to either language or financial reasons. Students will be able to start their studies immediately after taking an entrance test and obtaining acceptance from IPA, which provides British and American curriculum, blended with exciting extracurricular activities and Chinese culture. Students in Grades 6-9 will learn the basics of academic subjects while discovering personal interests. Whereas, from Grades 10-12 they will choose their courses according to their own interests and expertise. The students take international exams such as the IGCSE (International Graduate Certificate of Secondary Education), A-level and AP (Advanced Placement) tests, which are recognized in many countries around the world and by most universities. IPA makes both Chinese and English compulsory language courses. In addition, students can choose to study another foreign language, such as French, Spanish, German and Russian. The school offers various extracurricular activities and internships at famous companies in Shenzhen. Its policy is to cultivate an all-round person, who has excellent academic as well as social skills. (SD News) |
