    Elizabeth in ‘Mary Queen of Scots’

    Margot Robbie is in negotiations to play Queen Elizabeth in Focus and Working Title’s “Mary Queen of Scots,” opposite Saoirse Ronan.

    Josie Rourke is directing the film with Working Title’s Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Liza Chasin producing.

    

    Ang Lee in talks to direct

    ‘Gemini Man’

    An action movie project that has remained one of Hollywood’s most fabled unproduced films for over 20 years is getting another shot at the big screen.

    Ang Lee, the celebrated filmmaker behind “Life of Pi” and “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” is in negotiations to direct “Gemini Man,” the high-concept action thriller for Skydance.

    

    Hasselhoff dishes on singing

    ‘Guardians 2’ soundtrack

    David Hasselhoff is in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” soundtrack. The former “Baywatch” star and 1980s pop sensation provided the vocals for the only original track of the movie’s “Awesome Mix Vol. 2.”

    

    Kevin Spacey to host Tony Awards

    Stage and screen actor Kevin Spacey will step up to host Broadway’s Tony Awards, organizers said on April 18, less than two months before the national broadcast of the annual theater honors.

    

    Feng’s movie wins China directors guild awards

    Chinese director Feng Xiaogang’s “I Am Not Madame Bovary” won three awards at the 8th China Film Directors Guild Awards on April 22, including best film, best screenplay for Liu Zhenyun and best actress for Fan Bingbing.
